Cheney and his crowd are all for free and open elections - as long as they turn out their way. They are all for free speech - provided it supports the administration. They are all for the rule of law - as long as the law does not prevent them from doing whatever they want to do. When elections, speeches or laws are inconvenient, he does not hesitate to declare that they are helping the terrorists. I can think of no graver offense against our democracy.

OK, I'll bite.

When did Cheney, Bush et. al. stop free speech and free elections?

Rather than bite - I'd suggest that you read the statement again. Nowhere in the four sentences provided does it state Bush/Cheney "stopped" free speech or elections. That is not even insinuated - so you either did not comprehend what was stated or you are ignorant of the events it refers to. I'll give you a hint since you seem so lost - please refer to the VPs statements regarding Ned Lamont after he defeated Joseph Leiberman. I'll let you find the rest of the supporting evidence on your own. Thanks for playing!!!!!

They don't have to stop elections as long as they can STEAL them blatantly. They don't have to stop supporting the law as long as they can operate above it.

The fierce nationalism, fearmongering and fascist pig ways are way beyond old. We the people are sick of it; have been from day one.

We are divided as a nation and hated worldwide now all because of this regime in power.

Ted Kennedy nailed it...just too lightly.

Oh, and did I mention bush is nothing but a sociopath and a constant LIAR without a speck of compassion for anyone but himself?

Many others have.

To quote a few:

"President George W. Bush is a liar. It's not that, from time to time, he "mispeaks." It's not that he has made campaign pledges that he did not exactly keep. IT'S THAT HE IS A LIAR. His college career was a lie; his business ventures were lies; his fortune -- the part he did not inherit -- was gained through lies. His most egregious lies are those he told to become president and the lies he continues to tell. He lied to take this nation into a war that will kill hundreds of young men, drain our treasury, and destroy our credibility with much of the rest of the world. His entire political program is a lie."

---Colonel Joe Schlatter, retired.

"George W. Bush is a liar. He has lied large and small, directly and by omission. His Iraq lies have loomed largest."

---David Corn

"George W. Bush is a liar. There, I said it -- the "L" word. Someone in Washington had to."

---John Moyers

"Under legal standards, George W. Bush is an abject liar. Any person who would use lies to launch belligerent acts sure to kill thousands of people - some innocent, some not - to deplete billions of dollars of the resources of his own country, to ruin a foreign land and mire its people into deeper poverty, is a vile immoral villain."

---Joe Little
