Except now it is exceptionally dangerous. Because they are claiming that God is on their side. Bush claimed that God told him to invade Iraq.
Those are always the most dangerous kind-- the ones who claim that God would prefer that they win. Anyone else can be reasoned with.
it is especially bad when civilians run the military- they have no point of reference and have never seen death up close. marry that with religious and political fanaticism- and well, you have our government.
