Tom DeLay says he's resigning to help orphans and to help get Jesus elected as president. We all know that's crap ---- so pray tell ---- why did Tom DeLay announce his resignation?

He was facing the one thing he fears the most: Losing. Tom DeLay didn't want to be kicked out, and with a top-notch opponent and the stench of scandal all over him, he realized that he would have been.
He sure makes those hardcore GOP pundits who said all of this was 'politically motivated,' look like monkeys, doesn't he?
Tom DeLay was on Hardball tonight being treated like a martyr! He said it was all politically motivated. The LIBERALS have been trying to get him for years because they can't stand what he stands for. I almost threw up.
I wonder if he was 'asked' to step aside because the Repubs ARE worried about the elections....sure was a complete turn around for him...from 'defiant' to doing whats best for his constituents. Sounds like someone had a come to Jesus meeting with him.
Word, I dig your blog and your mission statement. Rings true for me.
