BREAKING! HOMELAND SECURITY OFFICIALS DOWNPLAY NY SUBWAY TERRORIST THREAT.

NEW YORK - Authorities stepped up security Thursday after receiving what city officials called a credible threat that the New York subway could be the target of a terrorist attack in coming days. But Homeland Security officials in Washington downplayed the threat, saying it was of “doubtful credibility.” (Something sure smells bad here. You have the mayor of NYC giving a live press conference about a credible threat to NYC but Homeland Security is downplaying it? Something is very wrong - and I am at a loss to figure it out. Certainly was the talk of ALL the news shows this evening --- rather than Rove and the anticipated indictments as a result of Plamegate. Coincidence?)
