Denial Runs Rampant in D.C.

In an interview this morning Laura Bush blamed the presidents low approval numbers on...............

THE MEDIA.

OF COURSE ITS THE MEDIA'S FAULT. WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT?

She must have reached this conclusion while watching Tom DeLay on Fox News earlier this week blaming the failure of the Iraq War on the media and liberal democrats.

From Think Progress:

On MSNBC this morning, Norah O’Donnell asked Laura Bush about a new poll that found “only 2 in 10 Americans approve of the job that the president is doing on Iraq.”

Mrs. Bush placed the blame squarely on the media. She said, “I do know that there are a lot of good things that are happening that aren’t covered. And I think that the drum beat in the country from the media, from the only way people know what is happening…is discouraging.”

See Video HERE.

Interesting perspective the First Lady has. She obviously hasn't read the ISG Report which says that the violence in Iraq is being UNDERREPORTED in order to suit the policy goals of the Bush administration.
