You see, despite what Joe Lieberman believes, invading Iraq and diverting our attention away from Al Qaeda and Osama bin Laden is not being strong on national security. Blind allegiance to George W. Bush and his failed "stay the course" strategy is not being strong on national security. And no, Senator Lieberman, no matter how you demonize your opponents, there is no "antisecurity wing" of the Democratic Party.

There is nothing wrong with being a Liberal and a hawk.

John Murtha was a Liberal and a hawk, who voted for the Iraq war.

John Edwards voted for the Iraq war.

John Kerry voted for the Iraq war.

They've since admitted they were wrong to vote for that war.

And the fact is, we don't expect our leaders to be right all the time. But we expect them to learn from their mistakes.

Unfortunately, Kerry and Edwards have come to that realization two years after it would have served them well to realize it, but at least they have realized it.
