President Bush travels to the Gulf Coast this week, ostensibly to mark the first anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. Everyone knows his real mission: to try to make us forget the first anniversary of the downfall of his presidency.

Last year, it was said that $250 billion would be needed to rebuild New Orleans. Yet less than half that has been appropriated so far. And yet, they want another tax cut!?!

Of course they're not gonna give New Orleans what they need. They'd have to take money from their precious Crusade or raise taxes, neither of which is even remotely likely.

If he wanted you to forget, he wouldnt have gone.
New Orleans was full of dependent deadbeats. Katrina was more of a cleansing.
