More Evidence of Faulty Electronic Voting Machines

The special election in Ohio in May was riddled with problems in the Diebold elctronic voting machines. This is just a microcosm of the larger threat we face. We are just twelve weeks out from the midterm elections and these same machines are going to be used all across the country. Diebold is owned and operated by an openly partisan Republican. In a country that supposedly values the democratic process -- especially after the controversy surrounding both the 2000 and 2004 presidentila election -- it is mind-boggling that these problems have been virtually completely overlooked. If these machine and easily manpulated, it doesn't matter who we vote for.
