I don't think however (I assume you are referring to what happened to the two soldiers) that wanting us to get out of Iraq is to 'be on the side of the executioners.' It is possible to make decisions based on your own interest, and I don't see how continuing to prop up a Shiite dominated government fighting a Sunni insurgency in Iraq serves the interest of the U.S. anymore than choosing sides in any other sectarian civil war.
I didn't even think of the two young soldiers when I chose this quote - I saw the quote in broader terms as speaking of those who wage war and those whom it is waged against. I think the point was that thinking people are always on the side of peace.
