Who Does The President Think He's F'n Kidding?
Yesterday, while giving yet another 'I'm right and everyone else is wrong' speech about Iraq, the President had this to say:
Bush: "First-just if I might correct a misperception, I don't think we ever said, at least I know I didn't say that there was a direct connection between September 11th and Saddam Hussein."
Keith Olberman supplied evidence to the contrary on last nights "Countdown". See video here.
At some point folks you have to wonder if :
A - The president has a poor memory.
B - The president is hitting the bottle again.
C - The president is a liar.
D- The president is as dumb as a rock.
E - The president thinks we the people are the ones who are dumb as rocks.
This 're-writing of history' isn't unique to the president. No, the habit of making up new facts when the old don't fit the 'question & answer' session is an attitude which permeates throughout this administration. On "Face the Nation" this past Sunday, Dick Cheney insisted that his pre-war assessment - (that we would be 'greeted as liberator's' in Iraq) and his assertion ten months ago that the 'insurgency is in its last throes' were accurate statements. (See video here). It's the MEDIA who is to blame. If not for that damned liberal media there would be no uprising. This is propaganda folks - pure and simple. Progaganda brought to you by your government.

If you've ever watched the man's eyes during press conferences when he gets a tough question, he looks shifty. I think he knows full well that he is going to tell a lie, and he has to think what he is going to say.
Reagan said a lot of the same baloney, but at least I always thought that he believed what he was saying, which meant that if someone could break through the 1950's time warp he was in, there was some hope (hence finally making peace with the Soviets.)
With Bush there is no hope, because somewhere along the way he agreed to be 'our S.O.B.' and he knows very well that he is.
He gets that same look in his eyes my kids did when they were little and I knew they were lying!!!! His body language is practically a neon sign "IM LYING, IM LYING, IM LYING!"
If I had to choose between trusting a rattlesnake and trusting Bush, I'd trust the rattlesnake...
At least a rattlesnake doesn't try to pretend to be something it's not. Bush constantly tries to pretend he's telling the truth.
