I will be out of town so will not update until the 13th. In the meantime, enjoy this article from Brad's Brain and go see the video Loose Change on-line. Will give you some things to consider. Enjoy your week.
9/11, Re-Examined
I have a reputation for believing in "conspiracy theories". I did a report in high school on the Kennedy assasination, extensively footnoted and about 5 pages too long including a massively detailed explanation of who I thought was behind it, after which my teacher decided he would no longer accept reports on that event. (I still don't know if I take that as a compliment or not.) Yes, I was a huge fan of "The X-Files". No, I don't trust the government.
Until very recently I believed much of the original story of September 11, 2001. I had doubts about the Bush administration's competence in the matter (note the restraint I showed there), I figured Flight 93 was almost surely shot down, and there were of course nagging suspicions that they knew more than they were letting on, but I saw no reason to doubt that al Qaeda and Osama bin Laden were behind the attacks.
On the advice of a friend of mine I recently watched a documentary on 9/11 attacks which, needless to say, has somewhat shaken my faith. I was chatting with the friend on instant messenger as I watched, and if I had a transcript of the conversation, you would get to see a mind being changed gradually over the course of one hour.
